PERSONAL: DENIMPLUS SHOOT BEHIND THE SCENES

Those who follow me on Twitter and Facebook might have noticed already that this week I had a very cool collaboration and photoshoot with Denimplus. Denimplus, located in Bussum (near Amsterdam) is not just an ordinary store. Situated in a building that is a couple of centuries old, Laurens Leeuwis – after working for denim-giant G-star -, Cindy van ‘t Wout and Roy Schiet opened the doors to their very own denim-heaven in August 2010. What I loved about the store was the atmosphere they managed to create. They truly did an amazing job rediscovering the old details of the constructions of the building, stripped down the walls, discovered some pretty damn gorgeous stained windows and created an atmosphere that, to me, truly matches the product they – obviously – love to sell: Denim. Denimplus offers more than a 500 m2 physical space ánd a webshop that matches the entire concept (ever their stocks are equal) full of jeans, basics and accessories for both men and women. So the webshop in fact is an extension of the store and the store is an extension of the webshop. They even have their own G-star shop-in-shop at the first floor and an equally broad range of G-star products online. Curious much?
