There she is. The new Sixfeetfromtheedge.com is born and I couldn’t be more excited. After being hacked a couple of weeks ago I decided to take action into my own hands and start working on something I’ve been thinking about for ages already: to knock over SFFTE. I’m fully aware of the fact that the old Sixfeetfromtheedge was a bit outdated. Something I started 8 years ago and never really changed. But boy, did my life around it change.
In the meanwhile, SFFTE turned from a hobby besides my studies into something I could do on a professional level. Being able to make a living out of something you just started as a hobby, out of curiosity, is awesome. But to be honest: I brought me so much more than that. Without being all sentimental about it: it brought valuable friendships, the coolest job on earth (not even talking about blogging in this case.. can you imagine? ;)), and most important of all: myself. Many times I’ve lost myself in the things I love so much, but eventually I always found myself there too.
So. Please take a moment to get used to the new website. Click your way to the different menu’s, or find all the posts from all the different categories at once over here. I expect to still find some small things that need a little extra work, but if you find something that’s not working the way it should, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Then, last but not least, I’d like to take this opportunity to say some thank you’s, because I do know that all of this would not have been possible without your everlasting support. So thank you, dear readers. This journey has been so so SO much better with you guys in it to join it too. And thank you dear friends and family, for always supporting me. Thank you, Lennart, the love of my life, for always staying by my side. For being understanding at moments I lost it. For accepting who I am. Oh, and for allowing me to have this huge shoe collection. And last but certainly not least: thank you Sophia, for turning the figments of my imagination into something real with this new and improved Sixfeetfromtheedge.com. You rock!
