You might have noticed – if you follow me on Instagram – I took some personal time off and booked a trip to New York with my love. Winding down is something I think I want to do every now and then, but somehow I always end up picking crowded cities over endless nature. Don’t get me wrong, I love both, but enjoying the vibrance and energy of a city is something I enjoy the most. And believe it or not: I’ve never been to New York before. Interesting, considering my love – or call it obsession – for jam packed cities.
Anyway, I’m not going too much into detail about the city right now (I’ll write a post about how I experienced New York as a first-timer, hope you like that?), but one thing I learned about this place already is that I should have packed in a more schizophrenic way: for warmer days and for colder days, that is. Rookie-mistake! While the forecasts said cold weather and snow were expected, we experienced some incredible sunny days over here (and some very rainy ones.. not pictured, obviously) and all I brought was my usual cold weather attire: leather trousers, chunky knits and – thankfully – this rather thin blazer to layer with a not-too-chunky-knit on one of those Spring-y days. Topped off with my new go-to pair of sunnies for the Summer (and any other season actually): those slightly larger Ray Ban Rounds. Gotta love ’em.
