AFW: DENNIS DIEM
Ph. me
Last show at Fashionweek I attended was Dennis Diem’s show. I was lucky to have a frontrowseat during this one, so I was able to take some proper shots, hence the picture overload. I’m aware of the fact that I didn’t post pictures of every show I attended, but I did this on purpose; I won’t be bothering you with truckloads of pictures of shows that are all over the internet already.. But this show kinda suprised me in a positive way: I loved it. I don’t think the concept of the human skeleton (the shoes!) as a fundamental idea is not the most renovating we’ve ever seen, but still I like the way Dennis executed it in his collection. What do you think?

This is what I wore yesterday during my third day of Fashionweek. Most of the shows I attended happened to be in the very late afternoon or evening, so it most of the time was too dark for outfitshots. As you can see, this time it was already getting dark as well, but at least I can show you an outfit, right? Now I’m off to the last show of this AFW, hope I’ll be able to show you some pics afterwards. Have a nice evening!
Overcoat – Zara
Leather pants – H&M (very old!)
Boots – Alexander Wang
Clutch – Frenchonista
Ring – Buddha to Buddha
Cross bangle – Fashionology
AFW: DAY I, PART II
Ph. me
And then.. some of my faves of the day! I was absolutely over the moon with the concept and unusual models of Marije de Haan’s show! She based her collection on Charles Earl Bowles, better known as ‘Black Bart’, was an English-born American Old West outlaw noted for the poetic messages he left after his robberies. Although he only left two poems, at the fourth and fifth robberies he commited, leaving poems became his signature and his biggest claim to fame.
Completely in contrast with the rough collection of Marije de Haan’s show, I love the pieces Winde Rienstra showed.. pure art! Guided by the serene tones of a harp (live!), the models were slowly (I can’t even imagine walking even a bit faster on shoes made out of cardboard!) walking the runway in a silent, yet powerfull kind of way. Magical, I loved it.
AFW: DAY I, PART I
Yesterday was my first day at the Amsterdam Fashion Week. My day was fully packed with a lot of shows, so I decided to cut the report of day one in pieces, so I’ll be able to show my faves of the day. I kinda liked the fact that, for me, the designers at the labshows were doing a more interesting job than the so-called ‘bigger names’ did. Reports of Marije de Haan and Winde Rienstra (my personal faves of the day!) will be up on the blog later on in the afternoon, so stay tuned ;)
