CRAVING: ASH
Even though I thought I was done with an overkill of studs, I would love to add these studded babies to my wardrobe. Even better when worn a lot.
WISHES: 5 PIECES
Just because I’m really a ‘list-person’ ánd because I absolutely feel the urge to have something to hold on to, I made myself a 5-piece-wishlist with the things I’m craving for at this moment. I say at this moment, because my craving seem to change over time, maar at this moment I’d really like to have a pair of bright coloured heels to brighten up my wardrobe where blacks and greys are prevailing. I’ve been wanting a rosé gold watch for quite some time now (I love rosé gold on a slightly tanned skin in summer <3). What would my life be without my hats? I found out I only own some dark coloured hats, so this is where my search for a nude/beige/camel tinted one starts. And last but not least: I convinced myself I nééd an Isabel Marant (inspired?) jacket in my closet, hope I’ll be able to get my hands on a nice version of it. And no, it’s not that you’re getting blind or a little cookoo in the head: I only have a list of four items, just because I wanted to safe some space for a piece that eventually will pop up in my mind. One of the items mentioned above are already in my possession, can you guess what it is (I think you can.. ;)).
WISHLIST: HIGH-SHAFT BOOTS
I’ve been working on a well-composed wishlist for the current season for a while now, because I really need something to hold on to concerning my wardrobe. You might have read on several other blogs about the principal of the 5-piece-French-wardrobe (a principal that states that it’s important to work on a basic-wardrobe that suits your personal style, and dictates it’s allowed to buy five non-basic pieces per season). In fact, for me this sounds like a perfect way to organize the stuff I already have, gives a clear perception on what I ‘need’ to buy to accomplisch my perfect basic wardrobe ánd it will defenitely bring a standstill to my cravings for special-but-not-so-wearable-pieces. I don’t know whether I’m going to stick to the strict five pieces, but I’ll certainly give it a try.
So while browsing through my closet, I found out I didn’t have a nice pair of high-shaft black boots with a mid-heel. Therefor, and because I wanted to wear a pair of proper boots to my grandad’s funeral, I bought these babies. As you can see, it’s the high-shaft version of my beloved Acne Pistol Shorts boots. For me, they’re the most perfect boots ever, in both ankle-version and high-shafted. The perfect stacked wooden heel height and rather wide shaft makes it ideal for an everyday use. I’ll show you the rest of my wishlist as soon as I finished it ánd there’s a give-away on its way, so stay tuned ;)
