DONE WITH SHOPPING SPREES?

DONE WITH SHOPPING SPREES?

I honestly can’t remember the last time I went on a shopping spree. ‘Shopping spree’. A word I used to associate with all kinds of positive feelings, now something that I can’t seem to bother too much about. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy a […]

FASHIONCHICK SHOPPING DAYS

FASHIONCHICK SHOPPING DAYS

Hurray, it’s Monday! Which means a fresh new start of the week, new opportunities and.. a new outfit. Literally, because my entire outfit is new (except for the bag, that’s an oldie). To celebrate Fashionchick’s Shopping Days (on October 29th and 30th), I picked up […]

THE LISBON LOOK PART II

THE LISBON LOOK PART II

On what I think was the hottest day, we decided to pay a visit to Castelo de São Jorge, a Moorish castle that’s occupying a commanding hilltop overlooking the historic centre of the Portuguese city of Lisbon and Tagus River. Absolutely beautiful. The strongly fortified citadel dates from medieval period of Portuguese history, and is one of the main tourist sites of Lisbon. Of course it was. We tried to avoid the too touristy parts of the city a little bit, but this place was just too beautiful to not pay a visit. And touristy attractions are touristy for a reason usually, right? If you’re planning on going to Lisbon – I’d really recommend paying a visit to Castelo de São Jorge as well, especially on a warm hot day, because of the nice and cool breeze on top of the hill, shadow everywhere.. the view is absolutely stunning.

I was wearing a pretty simple outfit, like I did the entire week, with this striped dress I dug up at the &Other Stories last bits of sale on the day before we left to Lisbon. A pretty versatile piece, because I really enjoyed wearing it with my chunky Celine sneakers and a simple, tiny purse this time, but I can see myself wearing it in a more formal way – with heels and a smart blazer – as well.

I hope you all had a very nice weekend. I spent mine over at my parents’ place. They rent a place on a camp site in the middle of the forest, next to the moors. In fact, there’s not much to do except enjoying eachother’s company, long walks through the forests and bike tours with the family. Perfect. Now off to a week filled with work, work, work. How about you?

SLIGHTLY OVERWHELMED

SLIGHTLY OVERWHELMED

Wow guys, I’m still slightly overwhelmed by the amount of love I got after the very personal post I did two days ago. I received emails from people I never expected it from (thanks!), the sweetest comments and the loveliest response from people I talked […]

Ph. Lennart Groot I guess I’ve been wearing more dresses this year than I have done in my entire life. I rekindled my love for tshirtdresses last year, but I’m not afraid of wearing this all black – but very flowy – number either. I […]

The only thing I’ll be missing now that Summer is finally kicking in: I will no longer be able to wear my heavy knits, like this number I dug up at Samsøe Samsøe during my trip to Copenhagen last winter. Ah well, since I won’t get bored of this one, it’ll certainly pop up next winter again. And those perfect loose fitted, ripped jeans will definitely make up for it ;) For now: a happy humpday to you all, to be honest: I’m already making plans for the weekend and on Sunday I’ll be flying to Canada (!) for the World Cup Women’s Football to support our Dutch National Women’s team, how cool is that?

Ph. Tara   Don’t we all love a jeans-plimsolls-leather-jacket-kinda combo? At least I do. Especially since I found this new leather jacket on a Goosecraft sample sale a little while ago but haven’t really been able to wear it yet. Now that the […]
