SLACK TIDE

SLACK TIDE

There’s a moment sailors call slack tide. It’s that particular moment when the tide is neither coming in nor going out, but stays perfectly still. It’s a moment frozen in time, when all is calm and peaceful. The only downside to it is that it […]

COPENHAGEN PART II

COPENHAGEN PART II

While in Amsterdam I mostly avoid the super touristic areas, in Copenhagen I’m very pleased to stay just around the corner of one of the post visited parts of the city: Nyhavn. Walking around this city is one of the things I like to do best, and what better wat to do so than by wearing a nice and cosy, comfy outfit? Right.

I received many emails and messages from readers asking me if I’m going to write an article about hot spots in Copenhagen (thank you! Really appreciate it!), so I gave that a thought: I would love to do a post like that, but I’d rather post something about the places I actually visit when I’m in Copenhagen, since all the fancy hot spots are easily found in Google, and all point in the same direction: typical hipster places and extremely expensive hotels where all the self proclaimed cool kids hang out. All cool places, don’t get me wrong, but also places I tend to avoid. Let’s face it: if you’re planning on visiting Copenhagen for a weekend or a few days, you’d rather spend your money shopping all the amazing shops this city has to offer than spending all your savings on one single night in a super expensive hotel. Same for lunch and dinner: I know Scandinavian counties are well known for being expensive, but I can assure you it doesn’t have to be like that. You get it: I’ll sum up the places I like to go to in another post. If there’s anything you’d like to know or want me to include, please shout! Stay tuned.

INTO THE WOODS

INTO THE WOODS

There’s something magical about the woods. Especially when you feel like you’re the only one in there. When you don’t see other people, don’t hear cars hissing by and don’t even have perception on your phone. Okay I have to admit that last one freaks […]

6 THINGS I LEARNED STYLE-WISE

6 THINGS I LEARNED STYLE-WISE

The end of 2015 is nearing and to me – and many others – this time of the year is a time of reflection. My 2015 has been a great year in many respects, but why? I found out most of it came from the […]

DENIM SKIRT

DENIM SKIRT

Finally! Time for big knits! I stocked up on chunky knitted jumpers like my life depended on it, and then it turned out way to warm to wear them. Until now. And I love it. This black number can literally be worn with everything I own – that’s exactly what I’ll be doing this Winter – but for know I liked to pair it with that denim skirt I bought for Summer (but only wore once..) and those amazing red-heeled boots I received a little while ago. Hats make everything in life better – not kidding – so to hide my bad hair day, I planted this fancy number on top of my head: good to go. Hope you have a nice start of the week, make it a good one.
