NO MORE

NO MORE

Yup, it has been a while since I updated the blog. To be fair: I don’t think I ever took a blogging break this long since I started blogging in 2008 and to be even more fair: I can’t say I feel sorry for it. […]

F*CK IT! I’M GOING TO NEW YORK!

F*CK IT! I’M GOING TO NEW YORK!

Sometimes it feels like I’m the only one in the world who hasn’t been to New York in her life. Okay, I’m slightly exaggerating here, but the general response I get when I tell people I’m going to the Big Apple for the first time […]

APPROACHING AIR MAX DAY

APPROACHING AIR MAX DAY

My love for sneakers is endless: whether it’s a pair of Air Max’s or a more basic pair of kicks (Air Force 1’s? Dunks? SB Blazers? Love them all!), I just can’t get enough. I feel most alive when rocking a good basic outfit and a pair of sneakers on a sunny day. Might have something to do with the sunny days as well, but I want to believe it’s the sneakers that brighten my mood. Besides that, I’ve always loved my classics. I’d be more than happy to walk around in a pair of crispy white Nike Air Force 1’s for the rest of my life. But with Air Max Day vast approaching (for those who don’t know: Nike celebrates the birth of Air on March 26th, because on that date – 30 years ago – the first Air Max shoe has been launched), my weapen of choice is another ultimate fave: a good pair of Nike Air Max’s. The first time Nike made their Air bubble visible: a true revolution in sneaker culture if you ask me. Throughout the month of March Nike launched several limited Air Max styles in very limited quantities, which made us sneaker heads want them even more, let’s be honest.. but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the pair I really, REALLY wanted: the Atmos Elephant. I’ve been chasing this sneaker since it first launched in 2007, and I tried to get hold of a pair in 2017, but no luck. But hey: at least I ‘saved’ (that’s how I always fool myself) 150 euros, which I’ll be able to spend in New York next week, yay!

And let’s face it: I have no reason to complain. I collaboration with Nike I shot this modern take on the Air Max 90 Infrared’s: the Air Max 90 Flyknit. Even though I’m usually more into the OG’s, or at least a retro version of it, this modern take really seems to be such a nice Summery shoe: it’s very light weight, because of the Flyknit upper I’d wear it without socks (no socks = instant Summer feeling) and the bright dash of colour is something my wardrobe needs every now and then. What do you think?

RUNNERS RUN BECAUSE..

RUNNERS RUN BECAUSE..

Runners run because it makes them feel good. Many of them reach for that runner’s high: that particular moment of not thinking about your legs. They just go. And they just keep on going. Others run because they want to stay fit. To keep their […]

ABOUT BEING INVOLVED

ABOUT BEING INVOLVED

Yes, that’s right. You might have experienced a bit of silence on the blog lately. Even though I’m still very much alive on Instagram, I’ve failed to post as much as I did from the beginning of 2017. Too busy? Too uninspired? Not at all, […]

NOSTALIC FEELINGS

NOSTALIC FEELINGS

Wrapping up the year is always something that makes me slightly nostalgic. The anticipation of the new year to come, looking back to what has been (both positive and negatieve), learning moments.. I think I can say 2016 has been pretty good to me, but I’m already thinking about that I want to accomplish in 2017 (more about that later). For now I’m mentally already packing my bags because tomorrow the Mister and I will take off to London for the holidays. So excited! Hope to be able to shoot some nice content there as well, but most of all: looking forward to spending time with my favourite person in the world. Cheesy much? Yes. Love it.

6 MONTHS OF PERSONAL BODY PLAN

6 MONTHS OF PERSONAL BODY PLAN

Six months have passed since I started this experiment. I call it an experiment because I wasn’t really sure if this thing called Personal Body Plan was something for me. I’ve never really been the biggest fan of gyms, I’ve never really felt comfortable in […]

PERSONAL BODY PLAN: CONFIDENCE

PERSONAL BODY PLAN: CONFIDENCE

Time for some personal reveries, because boy did I do some contemplating since I started my Personal Body Plan journey… First of all, I want to point out that I really don’t want to come across as this whining person with a negative vibe around […]
